Pull off the coil ignition cable at the distributor and check for spark coming out of coil when cranking engine over. Use a heavy rag or glove to hold the wire 1/4 inch from a metal ground. Should see a strong blue spark when cranking to verify ignition is good. If no spark, check for battery voltage to coil on the coil primary. If you have current to the coil, suspect a bad coil, ignition module, crank position sensor, or cam position sensor, or pcm. The coil, ignition module, and sensors can be tested before replacing.

SOURCE: i am not getting power to my fuel pump

on a lot of ford products there is a switch that goes from the fuel pump to the inside of one of the bedsides.
what this is, is a shock switch that turns the fuel pump off if it absorbs a hit.
its a really dumb safety feature but its effective.
there is a red button on it that u have to press to make it active again.
sometimes they just trip for no reason.

Sounds like fuel pump not working, have someone crank it for you, take off gas cap and listen . Can you hear pump while cranking? If not bang on bottom of fuel tank while cranking, if it starts you will need a fuel pump if not best check pressure and power to pump

This morning my car would start then immediately die after a second or two. even when i gave it gas it would just rev up and die. it did like that for a while, now even when we try to start it, it wont do...

It sounds an awful lot like it's not getting fuel. I would guess a clogged fuel line or fuel filter. Use a fuel pressure gauge to check the pressure in the fuel bar.

A week ago I ran my car out of gas, I didn't know it til the next morning, when I went to start it it wouldn't do anything, (all elsct. stuff is working properly) so i put 1 gallon in it, still wouldn't...

first is the fuel pump running first take the fuel cap off then have someone turn the key all the way on the pump should run for 5-7 second then turn off if you hear the pump turn on and off check your fuel filter which is in front of the fuel tank on the drivers side.
