It was running in the evening, next morning it wont start ? check out fuel pump it works, check out for power it has a lot, check distributor and wires, spark plugs, all brand new also battery is new, gas filter, lines are all new, starting fuse is new, injectors are new, ? what else to check ?
Perform an engine compression test
Pull off the coil ignition cable at the distributor and check for spark coming out of coil when cranking engine over. Use a heavy rag or glove to hold the wire 1/4 inch from a metal ground. Should see a strong blue spark when cranking to verify ignition is good. If no spark, check for battery voltage to coil on the coil primary. If you have current to the coil, suspect a bad coil, ignition module, crank position sensor, or cam position sensor, or pcm. The coil, ignition module, and sensors can be tested before replacing.
SOURCE: i am not getting power to my fuel pump
on a lot of ford products there is a switch that goes from the fuel pump to the inside of one of the bedsides.
what this is, is a shock switch that turns the fuel pump off if it absorbs a hit.
its a really dumb safety feature but its effective.
there is a red button on it that u have to press to make it active again.
sometimes they just trip for no reason.
