When key is turned on absolutely nothing happens. Engine doesn't turn over. Has new battery, new cables, new alternator. Runs fine when it starts. Could be driving down the road, stop for gas, then it won't start. May start with a jump, or starts after sitting for a while. It is not overheating. Does it about every two weeks.
Your starter and/or solenoid might be giving out. I had a similar problem on my 85. Eventually it got so bad that it wouldnt start at all and got it towed.
If car is automatic, try starting in 'N" , locate starter motor and tap it hard wile turning key to start, if cr starts after, needs new starter, look if lights and instruments come on when turning key, try to start car from starter, also key problem
