SOURCE: Interior dome lights stay on.

I would ask a clarification request but it can't be done for this format. Anyway. Does the car have any type of aftermarket add on? Alarm, remote car start?
The Bonneville has a very sensitive electrical system. If there is an add on device there's a possibility that it has failed. There's more to installing an aftermarket device in a Bonneville than a simple install in a 'normal' car.
Another thing to check is the trunk and hood lights/switches. It's possible that the switch is broken or failed and is causing you the problems. Check to be sure that the trunk light and under hood light turns off when closed. They do take quite a beating over time.
Hope that helps.

SOURCE: Resseting alarm lockout in 2001 Pontiac Sunfire

turning left and stalling sounds like your power steering pressure switch is bad.as for other problem try unlocking drivers door using the key this should reset the factory alarm. also make sure you didn't miss a wire when reconnecting bat. look for 12gauge red wire near bat. this goes to computer if not connected car will crank but not start.

SOURCE: 04 pontiac sunfire battery light and panel lights dim

sounds like your alternator. if you have a multimeter then turn on your car and turn your headlights on/ac and heater fan on high/wipers on and blinkers on. once they are all on hook the meter to the battery and if it reads less then 14 volts then the alt is bad. or you can just take it to a shop and have it tested.

If your fuse is ok . there is a problem with the unit where the bulg goes. if the unit is burnt or has melted it will need to be replaced.

Got battery jumped, car alarm wouldnt go off, removed fuse from horn, now there is a clicking noise in the dashboard even when the car is off, what is causing this

You didn't say whether it was a factory alarm.
The clicking you hear is the parking light relay.
The alarm is still in trigger mode.
If its aftermarket, you should be able to go under the driver side dash ..and kill the power to the alarm. They usually have a red wire with a 10 amp fuse in the wire..
You can turn off the alarm in most cars by unlocking and locking the driver door with the key..
Also, make sure the dome lamp rocker switch is in the middle.move it back and forth and stop in the middle.sometimes the switch will get hung in between settings. This goes for the backseat light too( if you have one back there)

I use the key fob to lock the doors the alarm will go off about 20 minutes later when i reset it, it will do it again.

The battery in your remote m may be going bad. Don't know why this happens but it does. That little battery can give you, your car and your neighbors a real headache. Hope this is the fix.

I have a 2010 kia forte and i left my dome light on all night and now when I go to start my car the alarm goes off. What's happening?

Use the remote to activate the alarm by double tapping the lock button, wait 3 minutes then use the remote unlock button by tapping twice to deactivate, this should reset the alarm back to normal mode

Sunfire alarm sounding for no reason

Focusing on switches: Start with the door switches. Pull the fuse for the dome lights. Reset the alarm. Does it sound off? The alarm feeds off the dome light fuse. Driver door is first: Often they wear out first and give us grief like this. Unscrew and disconnect the switch first. Replace the fuse. Carefully close the door so you don't loose the wire in the frame(attach a string to it so you can fish it back out if it falls in). Reset the alarm. Does it sound off or not? If it does, it is other than the switch or the passenger door switch (if a 2 door or 2 other passenger switches if a 4 door). Repeat process until the switch is found or all are eliminated. Switches are cheap, so replacing them will not break the bank. Disconnect the fuse again, unscrew the bad switch. Unplug it. Plug in the new. Screw it back in place. Reconnect the fuse and try it again. Repeat as needed until you have either found it or just limited your search area. Most often you will stumble upon it- chaffed wires, look plugs, bad switches). Yes, there is more, but I see this as the usual suspect. If you go back into the alarm, disconnect the alarm first, then observe the dome lights with the fuse in. It just may be a faulty control in the alarm, which is out of my territory. Let us know what you find, but start with the smallest things first. Good Luck!

My dome light and radio do not work. on my 2001 Ford Escape

It almost sounds like an interuption in the security system. Have the vehicle tested by a dealer or qualified mechanic.

MM theft system has been activated on my 98 Pontiac Sunfire and now my car won't start. I've checked my trunk for a button and I've removed the alarm fuse and still my car won't start.

I have a 97 Malibu and when the theft system light kept coming on and would only start after letting the car sit for 10 minutes we ended up replacing the complete ignition where the key goes in. Then it was fine. It wasn't cheap either. Sorry, good luck.

My 2001 pontiac sunfire dome lights, and reading lights dont work. when i open the door there is also no beep sound. check fuses they seem to be ok. what else should i check?

hello,
is this problem only with the drivers door? or all doors?
if it is just one door you should check the door open courtesy light switch located in the door jamb (it will be in the jamb towards the hood only accessible with the door open) its a small cylinder shaperd switch that sometimes sticks due to corrosion. if its stuck the car has no idea the door is open. if it is stuck try and free it up with some pliers and lubricate with some wd40. another thing could be that the lights are burnt out. check this by turnig your dome lights on manually by turning the headlight switch (this adjusts your gauge lights) all the way until it clicks ...your dome light should be on if not repalce bulb and try again.
As far as the door ajar beep...do you have an aftermarket stereo installed...because the stock radio makes the chime throught the drivers side speaker...
i hope this helps
