When I run the car, only the driver side is getting hot air from the dual zone climate control, no matter the setting. I've tried every setting, unhooking the battery, I've read it could be a bad vacuum or a bent gate, any suggestions/fixes and rough prices and how difficult this could be? Thanks

try putting the selector in a desired position with the key on then turn off the key and disconnect the battery for 10min.

This could be a bad a/c compressor or compressor pulley bearing.Try removing the serpentine belt and turning the compressor by itself. The bearing should turn very easily, and the compressor itself should turn.If it is vety hard to turn,it is bad.

Sounds like your temperature actuator is not moving or your temp door is broken. On max a-c ,coolant is shut off to your heater core allowing only cold air in.

go to a parts store such as Advance Auto Parts or Auto Zone and buy the A/C recharging kit they have with the rubber line and connector that connects only on the side that you need to recharge your system. If you can put air in your tires you can out freon in your a/c system.

There is small cable that runs from the back of the temp control switch on the console that goes through the firewall and loops around a valve on the heater hose that is used to control the amount of hot coolant that goes into your heater coil. This cable hooks on the back of the temp control switch also. Bad news, that's probably where it came off and you'll have to pull the control unit out of the dash to get to it.
