Map sensor checks ok,intake air temp sensor changed.Engine coolant temp sensor checks ok,Ignition wires and plugs changed.Distributor cap and rotor checked ok.Scanner could not find problem .
What are the symptoms?
Why do you think it's flooding?
I’m happy to assist further over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/jeremy_d728a59f986299fa
thank you Jeremy ,black smoke, loss of power ,and exhaust system back fire.
No check engine light? How many miles? If you had a a scanner hooked up did you take note of any data? For example short term fuel trim, upstream Oxygen sensor data, coolant temp sensor data, etc.
no check engine light,87,450 miles,no problems shown on scanner.have checked
connections and cleaned connections at sensors and pcm .this promblem comes and goes .It may run ok today then act up tomorrow with out warning.
I need to now the data I requested when this happens. This could be as simple as an O2 sensor that has gone biased lean which would cause the vehicle to run rich. The scan tool data is vital to solving this problem.

SOURCE: changed water pump on 1994 dodge dakota sport
I have a 94 dodge dakota sport 5spd. I had that same problem recently. Thought it was the pickup coil, so I changed it and my truck would still not start. And the rotor and there was still nothing. Then I changed the Crank Sensor and THAT was why it wouldn't turn over.

I had a similiar problem, found the solution there. It was the wiring harnes on the drivers side under the hood, just above the wheel well. there are a cluster of wires in a bundle. I unpacked the bundle carefuly and sure enough the were two or three wires all coroded, had wite powder from corosion. repaired the connections and bingo. I posted details at dodgeforums.com. browse around there. I posted pictures as well. this is a common problem.

you have pcm problems or ASD relay problems.they both control the fuel and ignition.
SOURCE: how to test a crankshaft on a 1993 Dodge Dakota
check your catalytic converter for clogged up.
disconnect the exhaust pipe before the cat and run the engine to see if it still cut off.
if it run better, then that's the problem
TESTING
This is a test of the sensor only. A complete test of the circuit requires the DRBII scan tool, or equivalent.
Unplug the wiring harness connector from the intake manifold temperature sensor.
