SOURCE: My 2003 Forester driver side window wont work.

You need power window regulator as the cable of the regulator is out its place ,

  1. Remove the gusset cover.
  2. Pull up the inner door handle cover toward you to remove the upper hook. Pull down it to remove the lower hook. Remove the inner door handle cover.
  3. Remove the power window switch assembly.
  4. Using a trim panel remover, remove the clips of the trim panel.
  5. Remove the speaker.
  6. Using a spatula, remove the door sealer.
  7. Remove the outer mirror assembly.
  8. Remove the front end of the door weatherstrip and gusset.
  9. Remove the stabilizers.
  10. Remove the rear end of the door weatherstrip (inner and outer).
  11. Operate the power windows switch so the bolts from the regular assembly are visible through the service holes. Remove the mounting nuts.
  12. Take out the door glass. CAUTIONDo not turn the regulator in closing direction after removal of the glass. Otherwise gear may be disengaged.
  13. Loosen the nuts to remove the rear sash.
  14. Disconnect the power window motor wiring harness.
  15. Loosen the four bolts and two nuts to pull out the regulator assembly.
  16. Remove the screws to remove the motor from the regulator assembly.
  17. Installation is the reverse order of removal.0759a6d.jpg23cb1e4.jpg

SOURCE: Installing replacement side mirror on 2007 Subaru Forester

yes... you'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you can access the bolts holding the mirror on and disconnect the wiring harness as well..

SOURCE: driver door on a subaru forester 2003. window will

Could be a bad regulator or a bad guide rail pinning the window

On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Pull back the weather seal and you should be able to see what's restricting the window from moving

My brother cut the wires to his 04 subaru forester climate control while installing his stereo. Cut too close to the connecter to splice. We can't seem to get the 20 pin connector open to rewire.

I have used a flat blade smallest jeweler's screw driver to release connector contacts before when not having the correct contact release tool. The release tools are basically a handle with a thin walled tube at each end, one for socket contacts, the other end for pins. A picture or two of the connector and contacts from each end would be helpful.

I hope this is of some help to you.

Specifically I'm trying to identify the wire on the spark plug coil assembly to which I should connect the signal wire of a Tachometer to. The wire colours are, red, yellow, green/white, and blue.

It says the tachometer wire is Yellow/Green, you do not have that listed. You will find it in the list below, it is highlighted..

2000 subaru forester/wiring for a trailer

The easiest way is to go to any RV dealer, or most Autoparts stores and buy an adapter. They plug in to your existing wiring harness under rear of vehicle and then you simply plug your connector in to it from there. Saves trying to figure it all out and cutting or splicing into your existing wiring and possibly causing problems later.
