Gas relase wont open gas door

You mean you release the handle to open the gas door but the gas door is not open...?
A: If so. Ask a helper to pull the gas door release lever and hold it.
Now you need to manually open the door by hands. The spring load or clip that push the door open might be bend or broken. If so fix it or replace new one.

2001 nissan altima with a stuck gas cap door. Lever in front ''seems'' to be working. But mechanism is not releasing. Best way to manually open it.

Open the trunk and behind the trim cover near the gas door only on the inside there is a cable pull there also. the owners manual will show you where it is it you have it.

I cant get the interior fuel compartment lever to release. Any ideas how to open the door so i can get to the gas cap, without tearing the door off.

have someone use something to pry it open while you pull on the lever it looks like the spring is broken or rusted off. in case you have a broken cable you can remove cable from inside trunk.

My lever wont open my gas door....help i need gas.actually even the trunk lever wouldnt open the trunk.....finally the trunk lever i was able to pull up and then i couldnt ...

Hello. Here is what I need you to do:

Have someone pull the gas door release. With a credit card, or something like it, popsicle stick, nail file, etc, insert it at the side of the door that opens, not the hinged side. While your assistant is pulling the lever, see if you can manually pull the door open. If it opens, you have a broken fuel door spring. Toyota parts depts sell them for 3 dollars. The spring is there to "pop" the door open, when you pull the lever. If it is broken, and they break rather often, it needs replaced.

Fuel filler door my Jaguar X (2002) will not unlock

Most cars have an emergency fuel filler door release somwhere in the trunk. Look for some kind of pull cord close to the area of the outside fill door.

Remote switch to open fuel door Hyundai XG300L (2001)

Might be both. Often the problem is in the control switch itself. You can check this by removing the door panel to access the electrical wiring to the switch, then jumper the two wires of the control switch to see if the fuel door solenoid operates and the door opens - if it does, the switch is the problem. If it doesn't, Go to http://www.hmaservice.com/ and register (vehicle by VIN). Afterward, you'll have access to technical information (manuals, wiring diagrams, service bulletins, etc) about your vehicle. Hope this helps.

Gas Tank door stuck

Try having a second person pull on the door as you press the button, and also listen by the door to see if you can hear the release latch working. Also, open your trunk, and on the same side as your gas tank will be a little pull handle as an emergency release for your fuel door. It may be behind the trunk liner, but usualy they are easily accessable. and if you have any other problems, refer to the owner's manual to locate the release.
