Bent frame on 02 Beetle

I am looking into purchasing an 02 beetle that was wrecked. The frame is bent, front windshield needs replaced, and driver's side door. My question is can you fix a bent frame? What would be the cost?

Thanks,
Donna

I would go to a wreckers that wrecks your make of vehicle and get one from them. Either that or go to the dealer spares and get a new one.

I have a 2000 volkswagen beetle that was wrecked and it has a bent frame on the front passanger side what would it cost me to have the frame straighten and it fixed or is it even worth fixing?

if the frame is bent, then there is more stuff bent, it's better to have a body shop check it out, there is always more damage then you can see, , something that old, just might be a total

2004 Chevy Tahoe rearend out of line

The rear sway bars have not been replaced. When you look at the driver side rear the tire is even looks like it not stright. I can see where the tire is scrubbing the inside where the i believe it the control arm mounts to the frame. When you look at the rear of the tahoe while its on level ground it leans to the L side. When i measure the height of the frame from the ground there is about 1 inch difference. Also measuring from center of front wheen to the center of rear wheel there is about 1 1/2 inches difference. Any other Ideas? I am taking it to a shop to have the frame checked to make sure its not bent.

I'm just guessing since I don't have it here to look at. Your exhaust hanger in the middle part of the car is broken and needs replacing. It's two red rectangular rubber hangers secured by it's own sub-frame located after the catalytic converter.

2001 VW Beetle. The driver's front seat adjuster

I'm assuming you have manual adjustment seats. There is a spring underneath the seat that locks the end of the lever into corresponding notches in the seat frame rail. That spring has either fallen off or broken.

Have you rotated the tyres?have the shock aborbers been checked.Warped drums would show up in the wear pattern left inside the drum and on the shoes. You could take a wheel off spin the brake drum and with a felt pen slowly let the pens tip touch the edge of brake drum.hold pen in the same place without moving it and it will show up high and low sections if any.Are all the bushes(suspension in a servicable condition?Sounds like anti sway or stabiliser bushes may need looking at as your problem is when you accelerate, not so much pressure on the bushes, sometimes vibates and more vibration when you brake when its under a higher amount of stress.Could be a bent rim Could be need wheels balanced.Have you correctly adjusted your brake shoes?Therse a slot in the back of the wheel hub assembly
