I have a 1999 Chevy astro van 4.3 it start but when you put it in gear and step on the gas it dies and it will Idle up the road find but don't push on the gas it dies

Try the throttle posistion sensor your gonna have to get a manual to find out where its located

    other possibilities are fuel pump or filter spark plugs idle control sensor

Mom have u checked the ignitoin control module. These can cause a no start, Is the engine turning over and just not starting or is it not turning over at all.

1999 ASTRO VAN ACCELERATES WITH AC ON

It is perfectly normal for the idle speed to increase with the AC on. This is done to ensure that adequate coolant flow is available for the increased strain the compressor puts on the engine.

If the idle increase is too high, there is a safety problem. There is an idle adjustment that can be made to reduce RPM to factory specification when the AC is on.

1994 chevy astro van awd

underneth the intake manold is were your fuel injector poppet nozzles are, more than likely the fuel line hose that goes thru the back of the intake is split and leaking fuel underneth the intake manifold if you check the fuel pressure you will find that the fuel pressure will drop down to 0 psi as soon as the fuel pump shuts off and it should hold pressure
