I bought a 2000 Acura 3.2TL a month ago. It runs great most of the times. Once it gets going it keeps going. But sometimes I have problem starting the car.
It's behavior:
1) Run it for 20-30 mins @ 30 mph(runs fine) : starts fine after a halt of 5min/10min/30min/1 day with no issues.
2) Run it for 30-40 mins @ 60-70 mph(runs fine): stop the car and try to start it after a gap of 10-15 mins it starts to shake and seems like its misfiring. After 5-10 mins of continious try and shaking it starts and then the malfunction indicator lamp comes on. Again it keeps on running well (with the malfunction indicator lamp on). It runs very smooth on the road, no issues.
Even if I run it for 30-40 mins @ 60-70 mph and then I stop the vehicle and give a break if 30 mins or more, it starts without any issues.
I have taken it twice to the acura dealer. First time they said the EGR valve needs to be cleaned and the batteries needs to be replaced, but it again came on after a week, after that replaced the ingition coils. But didn't work, again the same problem appeared. Please please suggest what might be wrong. I have already spent more than 1200 USD on this so far. Thanks in Advance.

I have same issue
I have the exact same problem and i was told by toronto downtown acura that its a computer problem, i belive he said ECU. but i never changed it since i can get it to act like that and even stop it. Once it behaves like that i get it to idle at a1800RPM for 30seconds and let go of pedal and it idles perfectly and start driving. And there are times where engine light show up and disapears. I started using SHELL gas 91octane and the problem has been reduced dramaticly. And it might happen a few times in the year specially with seasons changingIf there are any codes in there delete it. It seems to keep a log with misfires and system too lean etc and when it gets many it starts goin crazy so clear it with a OBD2 its cheap

I have the same problem...Help!
My malfunction indicator came on and my car is Acura 3.2TL (2000). I was driving and after about 2 minutes the light came on. I reviewed the book which said that I should check the gas cap. (I got gas about 4 days ago...but we did have a snowstorm so I don't know if that affects anything.) Help I don't want the dealer to drain me. I'm taking the car to autozone if the light doesn't go out today.
i have the same misfiring problem .check engine light and TCS light turns on .if anyone have solution please let me know.
