Replaced fuel pump started right up,ran for 20 minutes- came back to vehicle later in the day would not start- started checking power and grounds-noticed fusible link on harness-opened it up to inspect-found wire not connected.need to know amperage of fusible link or wire gauge size to match up so I can replace-harness way too expensive!
The dealer or a parts store (if they can order it) would know the necessary rating of the fusible link-the color code may also tell the correct amperage and gauge. If possible, might help if you take it with you when ordering a new one. Fusible links are cut out and replaced.
tied to call dealership and of course they don't see a fusible link in diagram they want me to buy the harness
Try an independent repair shop, or try to find a used harness, I guess. Again, fusible links are designed to be replaced, in my experience.
thank you for your time and advise!

This is a trans range switch code, try this: on top of the transmission, by the selector lever, there is the range switch, remove the electrical connector to the switch and clean the terminals inside the connector, add some dielectric gears to the terminals (avail at any parts store), and reconnect. Disconnect negative battery terminal for 60 sec., reconnect switch, drive the car a few d ays and see if MIL light come on again.

i am going to have to ask you to get someone to duplicate these conditions while they have a fuel pressure gauge hooked up to the car, sometimes fuel pumps only fail under these conditions and it sounds like it may be acting up,,,, please rate and have a great night -jeff
