Transmission problems afer an oil change on a toyota tacoma

The battery died this Saturday after running the radio but drove fine. I replaced the oil on Sunday and now my truck is having transmission problems. It slips into neutral and then slams into gear. My RPM's are at 4000. I have put a new battery in and have taken it to a mechanic who said everything looked okay. He reprogrammed the computer and drove ok yesterday but is now doing the same thing.

In order to perform this repair, you will need a Philips head screw driver and some general purpose grease. The job takes 30 minutes. You will also need to order parts from a Toyota dealer or equivalent. The parts you need are: 1 shift lever seat and 1 shift lever cap. Bring your VIN number as there were slight variations. That's it! So here it goes.
First, you'll need to get at the screws that hold the rubber boot cover to the transmission tunnel. They are underneath the carpet, so you'll need to pull the carpet back …

SOURCE: my 2000 toyota tacoma truck just won't turn on. My

So what does "turn on" mean?? either the engine turns over or it doesnt. If you hear 1 heavy click when you turn the key to crank, but it doesnt turn over, I would suspect you need starter contacts replaced, but only a starter/alt shop is going to repair it, most shops will only replace the starter. Sometime if yoiu just keep trying it will turn over. But dont let it go, get it fixed ASAP.

Got a tough one: Tacoma starts vibrating only while accerating

I think its your gearbox as what you've saying is that you were drive with heavy moving trailer across the country and in the mountains it happiened i believe its friction rings in your gearbox what you've done calls RAPE GEARBOX i'll explane to you why

what is friction rings its a metal made rings inside your gearbox that are spinning. every time you switch your speed u said u've got 6-speed manual transmittion which means there are 12 friction rings on each of the speed + rear speed (R) now what happiens when you going up hill oil cerculation going faster as frictions spin faster but if you have not enough oil comming into the frictions then they start to rub on each other and they die thats maybewhy u have vibration

This is just my opinion
