Only the center dash vent blows heat and the rest of them very little power ...why?

There are five vents across the dash. The center vent blows strong and lots of heat. All the rest of the vents blow hot air but with very little force. I have noticed the rear defrost is not as powerful as well. Any ideas?

There are multiple issues that prevent heat from coming through the vent. You'll need to see a mechanic. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Damper/flap for driver's side is probably stuck. Try moving the selector from cold to hot several times. Also, move the recirc/outside air control if the previous doesn't work.

That is correct, the air blend door actuator. "flapper valve" may need to be replaced or cleaned and free from binding up. Good luck and hope this helps. If there is an Auto Zone in your area, they can order the part you need and give you the step by step instructions to removing the old actuator and replacing it if it's damaged. Good luck and keep me posted, be glad to help.

My defrost and riverside dash vent blows heat when my ac is on, all the rest of the vents blow cold

There's definitely an issue with your drivers blend door motor whether it's a linkage issue or a motor issue you will need to investigate more it can be a very in depth job, in some cases the entire dash needs to come out of the vehicle.
Hope this helps

Defrost has been stronger on all types. Just the way plenums are made. Clear that wind shield first. As long as you have plenty of heat to keep the cabin area warm to hot, it's OK. I wouldn't woory about it.

2002 ford explorer AC and heat blowing in dash, but very weak from the vents

On the motorcraft parts web site, you can blow up
a picture of the HVAC Blend Door Motors & locations,
as well as part numbers

You can get failed motor from Amazon

With knowing where the motors are located, try switching
the air flow modes manually, to see what positions do not work

Then you know what motors to replace

I also have professional scan tool software & can see the codes
for the motors in enhanced data.

I have a 1999 VW Passat. No heat blows from the floor vents or the rear passenger vent. The heat from the dash blows strong and hot with no problem. What could be the problem and could i make the repair...

These vehicles where prone to heater core failure. It lives in center of dash against the fire wall.

When this repair is done at the dealership, the tech is paid only 6 hours. The job takes 10 to 12 hours.

So, what does he do?.....he doesn't put everything he took out back again, which on this job would be the ducts that are along side the 'transmission tunnel' to the rear vent.

Ergo = No rear heat .

On the other hand, it could be the system is stuck in Default..'Windscreen vent priority'.

2001 Aztek blowing cold air (strong) on left side of the car.

This is a blend door problem, this door diverts air either throgh the heater core or the AC accumulator core, it either provides hot, cold or a mixture or blend, this door is deep in the dash and in most cases the dash must be removed to service the little electric motor that operated the door.
