Are you saying the engine is difficult to crank, or start ?
If it cranks ok but takes a long time to start, the starter is not the problem. You would look at ignition or fuel.

SOURCE: 1999 honda civic 1.6L very intermittent no

IT SOUNDS LIKE A FUEL PUMP OR A IGNITION PROBLEM A INDICATION OF A IGNITION PROBLEM IS THE TACHOMETER SMETIMES WILL START TO BOUNCE UP AND DOWN. CHECK FOR SPARK WHEN IT DIES IF THERE IS NO SPARK THAN IT IS A IGNITION PROBLEM. TO CHECK THE FUEL PUMP TURN THE KEY OFF THEN TURN FORWARDTO THE ACC POSIION AND LISTEN FOR THE FUEL PUMP TO HUMM IT WILL ONY HUMM FOR 5-10 SECONDS EACH TIME TOU DO THIS. THE REASON IT WORKS INTERMITANTLY IS BECAUSE THEY ARE BOTH ELECTRONIC PARTS AND WHEN THEY WARM UP THEY FRITZ OUT LET ME KNOW WHAT HAPPENS AND GOOD LUCK

SOURCE: while driving the heater will start blowing cold

You may have a thermostat that is starting to fail. It is probably sticking. If you have a termperature gauge see if the termperature is low at the same time it blows cold air or if you can catch it when it's blowing cold air carefully check the temperature of your radiator hoses at the same time.

SOURCE: problem with cold start and blowing smoke, runs fine after warm

Honda engines (D series imparticularly) run quite smokey on start up. For some reason condensation builds in the exhaust once it has been left (this is assuming the smoke is clearish/white) Occasionally, if it is blue smoke, you might have a leaky oil seal (typically the crank position sensor), but it's no biggy as it's only a few mls of oil per week.

There's no such thing as a tune up. Honda's are controlled by their ECU. As long as your air filter is cleaned regularly, and especially having regular oil changes 6,000miles, it should run +250k miles.

MY 91 CIVIC SI IS GETTING BOTH FIRE AND FUEL BUT IS HARD TO START AFTER SITTING OVER NITE ANY IDEA ON WHAT THE PROBLEM MY BE?

When the engine is cold , unless it is a weak engine, a weak ignition and a poor fuel setting , can the car takes trouble to start.
So check the spark plugs, the wires, the coil , the coil trigger impulse and the fuel settings so that the car starts immediately.
make sure that the battery terminals are tight, the starter connections are tight.

I sent my honda accord 1993 to honda dealer/repairer to get check why check engine ligths come ON.they said faulty collant sensor/is this serious problem?and why if the check engine ligths comes on,my car...

a bad coolant sensor not a serious problem that can cause engine damage. but it will make it run real bad ,use alot of fuel ,hard start, ruin your cat converter, etc.they arent that expensive and are easy to put in.
think of your coolant sensor like your choke.it tells the computer how warm/cold the engine is and then compuer when it thinks cold gives more gas or hot and gives less gas.if comuter dont know temp of engine it has to guess and they are always wrong.
coolant sensor bad computer has no way of knowing engine temp

1993 honda del sol horn does not work. Horn

Im in the same boat with my 99 civic si. it is wiring in the steering wheel that is causing your horn to not work. it is a lot of work to replace the wire in the steering wheel, so if you want a horn, my suggestion is to wire the horn to a aftermarket switch. it is a cheap and easy solution and will get the job done.

1991 honda civic si starting problem

have you check the ground wire from your negative wire to battery post? check to see the battery is strong. if it doesn't turn over the engine or crank the engine mean no good ground to the cables. if the car ran fine I dont understand why the car wont crank or turn the motor over it just quit. if the battery check out strong 12 V, starter serenoid may be faulty on your starter or it may be hot and will not turn starter over.
