SOURCE: squeaky plastic dial cover on a vw polo 2001

mcdevito75 here, Plastic expands and contracts with heat and cold, when plastic gets tired these properties weaken, If you can"t replace the cover try to use a little vaseoline jelly or a good penetrating oild WD 40 on it.

SOURCE: PLSE EXPLAIN HOW TO REMOVE THE ENGINE COVER ON VW

Without being rude, if you cannot remove the cover it means that you are not meant to replace the spark plugs yourself. They have very delicate electronic devices on each plug lead and any damage to one of these would mean an expensive agent repair. Modern vehicles have the parts that are user serviceable marked in yellow, the rest are best left well alone.

Where does engine fan for polo 2002 BBY engine located

The radiator fans are located right behind the radiator and sit in the front of the engine bay between the radiator and engine.
You cannot see much of the radiator or the fans looking down from the engine bay because there is a plastic panel on the front of the engine bay just above the front grille that runs from one side of the engine bay to the other and hides most of the radiator and fans from top view. If you remove the plastic panel you will be able to see both the radiator and the fan unit from the engine bay. The cover panel is most likely secured with both screws and plastic fasteners or just the plastic fasteners. These can usually be popped out carefully to avoid breaking them as they are reused and any screws obviously need to be unscrewed to remove them.

Polo classic 2002, would it run without a

Yes but that wouldn't help if you still have an over heating problem. To correct the problem, you need to replace your VW OEM plastic impeller water pump to an aftermarket metal impeller water pump. Plastic cracks at the shaft which the pulley drives and spins slower than engine speed or not at all. It's also a good time to do a timing belt service when you do this because it has to be removed out of the way to get to the pump.

Im looking for the oil filter on a 2002 VW Polo. Is there a cover or something i have to remove to get to it. I have an owners manual but it is in French and i can't understand it.

Look for the round black plastic filter cover on the rear to mid part of the engine. This covers the filter cartridge you have to change.
