That calls for a new switch on that door. If the driver's switch works the rear window, that indicates the wiring is in order and the window motor is fine. The rear door's window switch must be defective.
without a good look its difficult to say ,but i would be inclined to check for a feed first ,then woiork backwards ,could be a multiplug come loose behind the kicker plate side panel ,now which side driver or passenge i wouldnt know
You need to change the locking mechanism on the door,not the theft lock that you push down by the window,the lock that keeps thew door shut.I dont know why it wouldnt lock,it must be a factory defect,that worn out before its time..
Are both right and left sides inop? Check the switches on the door jams. They could be going bad.Make sure they are working. Check the motors that retract the belts.

This is called a Power Door Actuator. Your local autoparts store should have this in stock. they just need your year make and model vehicle. They may have an after market actuator...hopes this helps
