2001 Auto, new BRC conversion fitted recently. (Replacement for an existing conversion).
Vehicle shudders, while under light / moderate load at certain vehicle speeds. For example accelerating gently up a slight incline shudder appears just above 40mph disappears at about 55mph.
Runs fine on petrol.
Have returned it to the installer who made it better but couldn't eliminate it altogether. Get the feeling the guy just altered settings/ parameters on the system to blank/disguise the fault as much as possible.
Please email if you need any further info.

My wife's 02 Audi A4 1,8t had the same problem after talking with Audi (coil pack/spark plugs) we replaced them all and the problem still persisted not to say that won't fix your problem but what I found to be the problem was 3/8 vacuum line (shaped like a S) that comes up on the right hand side between the oil filter and the fire wall that comes from the turbo check valve assembly (its hard to locate and should be done with the engine cool) up to a valve assembly that connects to the intake manifold, what was happening was the hose would become spongy at the bottom (you will have to squeeze the hose from top to bottom to notice the difference) and as the engine heats up it would cause the hose to collapse. Once I replaced the hose and the computer reprogrammed the fuel mixture (about 25 miles of driving) the problem seems to have been correct. Good luck.I had also replaced the turbo check valve about three years ago because of a severe hesitation when you first apply gas (turbo check valve may not be the proper name.) Sorry. There is no transmition products that will fix a shudder that I know of.
I would suggest having tranny fluid and filter changed first as this is the most probble cause of a shudder at that milage, but if that does not fix the problem then I would have a transmition shop check the tourq converter.
ps, the fluid and filter can be changed at most quick lube or where ever you get the oil changed.

I had the same problem with my 2002 Impala w/ 3.8L.
No check engine light.
My problem turned out to be the MAF sensor. I replaced mine, but you could try to clean it first. I've done that on a few other cars.
Here's a picture of where the sensor is located. I took the picture when I had the radiator out, so it may be confusing. It's located on the big tube going from the air filter to the engine. I recall that you have to pull the engine cover off first.
Unplug the connector.
There are two screws holding it in. They may be special security screws that require a special torx drive.
After you get it out, you can try to clean the small, small sensor with MAF cleaner from the parts store. Spray, soak, spray, soak... until it gets shiny clean. Do not use a brush. It has a super fine wire that can be broken. In this picture, you're trying to clean that little thing in the central window suspended between the two posts.
