SOURCE: a/c wiring

The Red/White comes from the AC amplifier into the AC magnet clutch, from termianl 13.

The White/Blue wire goes back from the AC magnet clutch to the AC amplifier, terminal 14

The Black/White wire goes to two places, via a splice splice, 1 is to the relay box, Fan Relay # 3, and 2 is to the AC Magnet Clutch Relay.

What wires go where? 120vac, com, motor, motor, my wire colors are red, yellow, white, green

Red-120 vac, green-com, If yellow and white goes to the start capacitor. Put them on either motor lead, if it hums or won't start, switch those wires. Still no start, replace the capacitor, and try again.

Heater has heat but not blowin air out

Sounds like a bad blower motor- first check to see if the blower motor free spins( with power off turn the motor with your hands if accessible or use a long flathead screwdriver) if it free spins replace the capacitor attached to its side- can pick them up in any HVAC supply house--WHEN REMOVING CAPACITOR BE CAREFUL -it is full of electricity and will shock you - use a screwdriver and touch both of the top connections at once- this de- energizes the capacitor- take it with you to the supply house to get replacement- then reattach new on and start up unit- if still no air flow look for obstruction- blocked vents- dirty air filter- crushed supply vent if under house or in attic- also see if the blower motor is operating if not may need a new motor.

go to an electrical motor shop and get the capacitor as most motor problems (if they are not burnt out Check by the smell) are related to the capacitor.

Motor brushes appear to be bad. How do I replace?

IF it is a capacitor start it will not have brushes but a start or a start run capacitor. If it has a start capacitor the in the back of the motor there will be a governor operated switch that you would hear click as the motor starts to run. If it is a start /run capacitor the it is in the circuit all the time . Pull the capacitor out and check it externally and you will probably find that it has exploded and there is gunk leaking out of the case . Go to a motor rewinding place and they will have the correct capacitor for the motor.. Take it as a sample.

Motor capacitor

That sounds to me like a problem with the switch, or a relay (not a capacitor). Try replacing the switch on the stalk and see if the issue goes away. You can check the voltage and test at the motor to see what signal is being sent to the wiper motor.

The first thing to do is determine if the engine is reaching proper operating temperature. If the engine thermostat is defective the heater will not work at cruise speeds but will warm up at idle after a moment.

My 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo just stopped starting. All lights, fan, sensors work but engine does nothing when I turn it to start position. What is wrong? Please help.

Assuming that when you turn your key the motor doesn't even try to start.
To start the combustion motor, an electrical motor is used to give it inertia, there are 2 possibilities: one, this electrical motor is not getting the electrical power required, or two, the electrical starter motor is broken. For the first option, check cables all the way from your battery, trough the switch you open or close with your keys, trough a capacitor, to the motor. This motor is generally below or next to the combustion motor, their shafts are mechanically connected by gears. Only the positive pole goes all this way, the negative terminal of the electrical motor is connected to your car's chassis, and so does the battery's negative terminal. If all these connections are OK, then your electrical motor is gone, in which case you'd better buy a new one and replace it, because fixing it would not be an easy task. You can try also replacing the capacitor, which must be on the way between the electrical motor and the key switch, if this is broken, your car should be very weakly trying to start as if the battery was low.

Motor is from a table saw; it rans badly only for a short time and it blows the breaker. Thanks for info Chris Schwarzmaier Additional info: single phase 220, 2 hp, no interial centrifugal switch, start...

Check the brushes to see if they are worn. Also, check the commutator (where the brushes run) Double check the capacitors to make sure that they are the right value. Most motors that size can be wired several different ways -- make sure it's wired right for your hookup.

2001 buick century driver side heat/cool problems

Sounds like a problem with the "Drivers side temp actuator motor".
Each side has a motor that controlls the temp. door inside the dash for the driver or passenger side. These motors are approx. $75, plus 1 hr. labor to install. See more info here...
