Just bought 2005 Hyundai Elantra

I discovered that my key will not open up the trunk, my remote will not work unless the key is actually in the ingnition, and the radio does not come on at all. The dealership tells me that for the radio I have to take it to a Hyundai dealer and they have to unlock something so it will work? Has anyone ever heard of this before? Sounds weird. Also, dome and reading lights don't work but I think maybe it's just a fuse?

Well I bought this car used this weekend, as is with no factory warranty unfortunately. I imagine the warranty does not transfer to a new owner? They did give me a 12 month/12,000 mile warranty tho at the place I purchased the car.

Two seperate problems. I would say you have a bad wheel sensor. A trip to a local big chain parts store will tell you. They will run a diagnostic and pull the code for free. Hope this helps...

2003 Hyundai Elantra.. Numerous problems with the alarm.....

Go to http://www.hmaservice.com/ and register (vehicle by VIN). Afterward, you'll have access to technical information (manuals, wiring diagrams, service bulletins, etc) about your vehicle.

Keys lock in trunk alarm will not allow trunk switch to lock

The solution is to pull out the back seat to get into the trunk. There are two bolts holding the bottom part of back seat (bolts located between bottom and top sections). Then pull out bottom section of back seat and you see the hinge for the top section, remove the bolts and then you can lift up and access the trunk. It's not that hard.

2005 hyundai elantra

The Radio is a True Statement. It will need a Lockout Code installed to bypass the Theft Deterent. On the Remote, The light will still flash But, It could still need a Battery anyway if the Battery has just enough Power to Turn the Light on and not Enough to send the Code to the Vehicle to Perform the Desired Actions.
