2006 mazda 3 dash light will blink

Hello ,
I have a 2006 Mazda 3s, I bought it used about a year ago. Today I changed my battery for the first time. Ever since, there is a small red light below the dash on the driver side (to the right) that constantly blinks. It blinks if the car is on/off and locked/unlocked. I have never seen the light before. From my understanding, it is not the engine immobilizer light (for that light looks like a car with a key in it), however, I may be mistaken. The car appears to start fine and lock. Does anyone know what this light is or how I can turn it off? I am also concerned it will tax my new battery''s life. Help would be greatly appreciated.

Wonder if it is a reminent of an old security system? Rather than taking it out and leaving a hole and wire splices, they just left the armed light there. Just a thought though. Do you have an owners manual? If so, check through it and see if there is a light, that is supposed to be there. Best wishes to you.

Check for voltage at the battery with the engine running. If you have around or more than 14 volts than the alternator is working. If the vehicle starts with a jump and continues to run without starting than the alternator is doing its job. You likely need a new battery. Most auto parts store will check it for free. If the battery is bad replacing it sooner rather than later will be the best choice.

The dash light consist if two parts plus the ashtery light In your Mazda. You need to disconnect the dash look for the steps online available for Mazda 3. You might find that the cable harness is slightly disconnected or the pins in it are a bit twisted you need to check it out. And for the ashtery light after you get the cup holder removed and all the screws in the dash as well. You will get to a harness right back of the lighter which will leads you to another smaller plug of a tiny bulb. Make sure it's well connected otherwise it's just a replacement matter!

06 Mazda 6, v6 won't start, jmper cables didnt wk, lights do wk
Pretty much got to be starter related. Loose connection at starter. Bad solenoid. Brushes in starter.
Rap the starter with a hammer and see if the engine will turn over after that.
If it does, you've found your problem.

I have a Mazda 3 year 06', the engine light recently came on... I have the oil changed every 3k, since I bought the car 3 years ago. Recently, it has been making a shuttering noise coming from the engine....
Look's like you have kept up with your car, but if engine light came on you need to have engine diag. done to find out what's going on, it's on because engine computer pick up a bad signal from one of your sensor, have it check out.Good luck.

Need programming instructions for RKE for 2000 Mazda 626

Note: Make SURE the battery is new.
Instructions for programming ONE keyless remote fob.
1. Open the driver’s door & leave open.
2. Insert the key in the ignition.
3. Turn the key to the on and off position 3 times.
4. Remove the key from the ignition.
5. After door open chime stops, press the door open button 3 times.
6. After chime, press any fob key twice.
7. After second chime, press any fob key twice again.
8. After third chime, press any fob key twice again.
9. Press the door open button once.
10. The car should give another acknowledgement chime.
11. Test key fob.
This DOES work. I just programmed mine successfully today, three hours ago.
