1993 3.0 toyota truck. Was running, lost power over a period of 15 min or so and died. Turns over, has spark at plugs, has gas at injector rail. ( cracked open a fitting a little then turned over has gas spray out) not sure what fuel pressure is supposed to be. Checked compression at cylinder 1 have just under 150 psi. going to check the others cylinder. Any thoughts?

Do you have any codes? This could be many things. The way you describe it I would check the exhaust system, a baffle in the converter could blocs the exhaust as it rust and breaks. You could, if possible, disconnect the exhaust before the converter and see if it will run.

Could be a weak spark and bad ignition coil. A weak spark will look good outside but when it has to jump the gap in a cylinder with dense compressed molecules of gas and air, that is a different story it often cannot make the leap.

clogged injectors you need to put cleaner in the fuel to help get dirt and grit out of them some times (every 3 months).
I am assuming you are saying it will turn over but not fire and run when cold?

Check fuel pressure at the injector rail. Could be your fuel pump relay is cutting out. If fuel pressure is good, check for sparks at the plug wires. Read the link below for more info.

Fuel problem. first time out ran for an hr now it wont start. have spark will run if i put gas down cylinders. fuel line and rail not plugged.

Fuel pump dead or dying. Injection systems need 110 psi, and a pump only doing 30psi will still not run .

My ranger 89 2.3 starts up idels way up then gos dead

Just before a car runs out of gas it will speed up the idle (rev up) backfire and then die. You are probably experiencing a lack of fuel. Put a pressure gauge on the fuel rail that goes to the fuel injectors. It should probably read between 5 and 15 lbs. If the pressure is bad, it could be a fuel pump or clogged fuel filter. Obviously it is cheaper to start by changing the filter. The line could also be clogged. If it has good pressure all the way up to the fuel rail, it could be clogged fuel injectors.

Lost me there at"injectors don't fire, but they do" Anyway, the crank sensor/ECM is what controls injector fire. Could be corrosion at the injector,crank sensor, or ECM plug. Could be the injector/s died. Been a long time since I worked on a TBI. but the injectors can be checked with an ohm meter. I don't remember the numbers though. You can find the numbers on the internet.

93 camry 2.2 liter won't start , replace coil,radio suppressor, spark plugs ! It started fine and ran 15 mins. Now same problem wont start? It has spark at plugs but it didn't have gas to plugs at first...

The best way to assess the fuel delivery is to connect a pressure gauge to the top of the fuel filter, or in line via a t-piece, and measure the fuel delivery pressure. It should be about 40 psi. If low, change the fuel filter, and recheck.

If still low, it is a faulty fuel pump. If OK by the method shown in the link below (ie with fuel rail disconnected), then check the fuel pressure regulator at the end of the fuel rail.

Another classic cause of hard starting is incorrect ignition timing. If the timing belt is old, it may have jumped a tooth, so check the timing. See the above link, p18

1993 Toyota camry will not start

Check to see how much spark you have. Spark should jump at least a 3/4" inch gap. If it only jumps an eighth to a quarter inch or less than you have weak spark. If the coil is external replace it if the coil is inside the distributor replace the distributor. I almost guarantee this is a week spark issue.

Engine won't run....

Try taking a look at the catalatic converter if it is clogged it would make that happen no power and dies alot because it is clogging exhaust

96 dodge grand caravan was running fine then died. turns over .

Have you pulled a plug wire and checked for spark? Do you know for sure that your fuel injectors are firing? You can get gas all the way up to the fuel rail and nothing coming from the injectors. If there is no power getting to the injectors (check them for pulses while turning the engine over) The camshaft sensor will be the problem. They are known for just dying out. If this doesn't help, I'll still be here for you. Best wishes to ya.
