If it is a 4.0 strait six cylinder this is a common problem on them.Mine was located just below the oil filter and is pretty easy to fix.Plan it on your next oil change and it is even easier to change out.Oh just so you know your 4.0 liter engines do make a little bit of noise but are pretty much bulletproof if you just do regular maintence on them.Next time you start it put your ear down by the driver side hood hinge. You will find some tapping noise there it is part of the evap system. If it had no oil pressure you would know it rite away.

the sensor is located right above the oil filter, careful they crack very easily...but are really easy to replace...

I have the same problem,an erratic reading on the oil pressure gauge.I have been in touch with Chrysler Jeep (USA) and this is a common problem. The oil pressure sensor needs to be replaced this is on the oil pump by the oil filter.I changed mine and no more problems.

You need to first determine if the problem is with spark or fuel system. Check for spark at plugs, same at coil. You can spray carb cleaner into the throttle body while cranking the engine and see if it starts. If it does, then the problem is in the fuel system. You can use a digital multi meter to do individual component tests as listed in haynes or chiltons manuals and to check voltages where necessary. Check all the fuses inside and outside as well as fuel and auto shut down relay. Most common failure is the crank position sensor, but if you replace it without testing likely it won't be that. When you turn the key, you should be able to hear the fuel pump running. Wish I could give you more but I don't have enough info and testing is far better than guessing!!
Good luck
