I have a toyota corolla 1.3
it has an immobiliser alarm, TOAD
when i press the alarm button so the car unlocks, the greenn light on
the alarm works but nothing happens to my car, it doesnt make any sound
and the doors dont unlock.
i unlocked the car by the key, normally this would set th alarm off, but it didnt???
so i put the key in the ignition and it turns but doesnt do a damn thing! no noise at all.
also the buttons that open and close the door doors automatically, and
the buttons that lock and unlock the windows dont work. normally when
im in the car and everything is normal the button that locks all the
doors work without me even putting the key in the ignition.
whats wrong with my car? please help me!
im in the uk btw
step by step instructions would be great
thank you!!!
Just a possibility, but a discharged battery could be the culprit. Do the headlights come on brightly? Will the horn blow normally? A 'dead' battery will usually have enough power to illuminate LED warning lights, while not having enough current to operate the starter/door solenoids, etc. Have somebody test the battery voltage to be sure.

I suggest you take a look at this item
Try to disconnect battery could be an imobiler problem or check on google
Did you try the spare key and you can take of the driver side door panel and spry Q 20 on the solenoid links that get also stake.

Look for a short in the wiring harness in the door. The wires from the door lead to the convenience module (controls the doors and windows and some other settings including remote fob) that is under the dash. It sounds like some wires are crossed. VWs are also notorious for having problems with window regulators. They make the windows go up and down and are in the doors. Something might have happen to that and it cause a short. VW just extended the warranty on the window regulators to seven years because of these problems so you should be able to take it to a dealer and not get charged (this is in the U.S. at least, don't know about the rest of the world). The extended warrranty was not limited to original owners but you might want to ask the service people about it first.

I had a similar problem with my son's 1998 Jetta K2 4 door. I sprayed loads of WD40 into the locking area from the end of the door through the clip slot, worked the mechanism sprayed some more and finally it start working. My mechanic said these are very prone to moisture causing rusting on the moving parts.

Do you have a key fob? Unlock the car with that and you should be OK. My sons Elantra is the same way, you can only get in with the fob. I guess the car thinks it's being stolen otherwise. If you don't have a fob, I'm no help
SOURCE: just bought mk4 2000 golf v5,have to use key for
that is because the alarm needs a remote to tell the car that you are the owner and not someone with a key that fits the boot.the remotes are expensive so if you have not got a pair then sorry to say nothing you can do....last time i looked £132 each.....

You should try removing the alarm I had a similar issue once as the alarm had gone out I had to remove the alarm brain or computer if you will before my car started again.
This is a security feature for most all car alarms. First thing lock all doors closed doors use the original key turn the key to the open or lock position first then turn the key back to the normal resting position turn to the unlocked position and open the door period Then start the car normally
