SOURCE: 98 Sentra, replacing the driver side power window switch
The switches are very easy to change. They either have a screw holding the switch and a trim piece on or they switch just pops out. Once its off, they are a breeze to change.

Hi
Have you tried substituting the drivers side switch for the passenger side switch and seeing if that works in case its just a faulty switch?
Other than that, if the window is right down then wrap some electrical tape around the jaws of a pair of needle nose pliers to protect the window glass from the metal jaws and then try to grip the top of the window and pull it up far enough for you to be able to get your hands flat on the glass to get it the rest of the way up
It may be safer to use two pairs and a helping pair of hands to do this to relieve as much pressure from the window as possible.
Either this or remove the door panel and push the window up from the inside.
Very best regards
Geordie
