You may have a clogged heater core or heater core bypass valve may be stuck closed. bypass valve is usually on the firewall on one of the heater core hoses. if valve seems to be operating properly. you will need to let the vehicle cool down. disconnect both heater hoses. connect garden hose to one side of heater core let water run through one side and then the other side. if the heater core is too clogged it may need to be replaced.

Odds are your heater core isn't working or plugged. Check your passenger floorboard for water, and replace the heater core. If that doesn't fix it, get a coolant system flush.

SOURCE: My 2000 GMC Jimmy has been blowing cold air. We

airjoc does not have a clue to your problem, I take you want to have warmer air not cooler ac. check the control system, if you have a vacum system tou may have a leak, if it is controlled by voltage, check the control panel and the control box. Also open the hood, place the heater on high but not on any defrost setting preferrably on just the floor setting. Start the engine and see if the ac compressor is running. If it is, the control panel is bad.

Hearter blowing cold air

If The heater is blowing cold air, it could be either the thermastate is stuck in a closed position and you need a new one, or your heater coil has gone out. The way you determine if this has happened , check to so if water is leaking from under dash on the passenger side. If it is leaking, it's your heater coil..

I put a new thermostat in my 1994 ford escort, and still dont have warm heat while my heater is on. How do I test to see if I have a bad waterpump?

If it where your water pump isthe vehicle would overheat. After you replaced the thermostat do you run the engine at idle with the radiator cap removed until the radiator fan came one? This will help push the air out of the system. There are two other possibilities. 1. The heater core is plugged. Back flushing the heater core may help remove the built up debris and get you heat again. 2. The blend door may not be fully transitioning from cold to hot. You should be ale to hear a district change in how the air sounds when switching from full hot to full cold. Let me know if you have any questions and I'll do my best to answer them. My heater blowing cool air want blow warm or hot air

check top and bottom hose for heat if the top hose hot and bottom hose cold the thermostats not opening,or you may have a leak from a hose or water pump, maybe only a small leak but that would cause the system to lose pressure and lose heat from your heater at worst the head gasket may have blown

Air, no heat '98 Astro. No leaks, engine

It sounds to me that you may have 2 problems. 1). Air Lock in the Heater Core. 2). Inactive Heat Damper in the Plenum.

But since you state that the Heater Hoses do not get warm that is indicative of an Air Lock in the Heater Core. This is a relatively simple fix. It is best performed COLD but requires a method of pressurizing the Cooling System. All reputable Auto Parts stores Sell and/or Rent Pumps that temporarily replace the Radiator Pressure Cap for Leak tests and curing Air Lock. The Collant Level must be filled FULL then pressurized and then loosening the Highest Heater Hose at the Firewall so that Air and a Small Amount of Coolant escapes. Once all the Air has escaped tighten the Heater Hose Clamp, remove the Pressure Pump, Restore the Collant Level to FULL, re-install the Pressure Cap and Start the Engine. As it Warms up you should be able to feel coolant running through the Heater Hoses and they should become warm.
