The usual reasons for intermittent fuel readings are that a wire is loose from the sending unit in the tank or on top of the tank, the connection is not making good contact. If you are getting no reading and it was intermittent or "false" reading at different levels of gas in the tank, the sender unit in the tank is broken. It needs to be replaced.

SOURCE: Fuel gage always reads full, even when tank is half empty.

Check for a shorted wire to fuel sender.

SOURCE: My Peugot Partner Diesel van only gets 2000rpm max

First - I am amazed at the runaround they have given you over this - and all the work they have charged you for.
This seems to be stuck in "limp mode" - which is an electronic basic running mode when it doesn't get all the info from the sensors (of which there are too many on peugeots !)

The most likely to start with is any damage to the exhaust sections - or any catylist fitted. Diesels use them to reduce particulates, and can become blocked - causing backpressure and all sorts of running problems.

The cheapest solution to you is to take it to an exhaust specialist - and ask them to check it.
A bad knock can shatter a ceramic catylist - virtually blocking the entire system.

I have a peugeot - but after numerous electronic faults - will never buy another.

SOURCE: Fuel gauge not give proper reading.. register full

Sorry to say,but the fuel sending unit is the problem, the fuel tank will have to be lowered out of the vehicle to replace the unit.If the fuel sending unit is not available by itself you will have to replace the whole fuel pump assembley.

SOURCE: Speedometer & rpm gage works sometimes , and

There is a recall on the 2003 instrument cluster on your Silverado. Check with the dealer before the warranty extension is over and you end up paying for a new cluster. As for the transmission, check the transmission fluid level and have the transmission scanned for any DTC codes that may indicate an issue like a faulty TPS sensor which is a simple that can cost you a expensive transmission repair.
Good luck and keep me posted.

Fuel gage aint working

all parts may be new but if the fuel gauge sender float has been bent when being installed into tank this will give false readings - if the float has been bent up during installation then it is likely that it will only read fro three quarters of a tank up as the float can not get any lower due to being bent, I recommend that a new pump/float is installed very carefully.

Gas gage not working

In order to fix your gas gauge, you will need to remove the gas tank and either re-adjust or replace the fuel pump. In your van, the fuel pump and fuel sensor are the same unit.

This is moderately difficult. The hardest part is getting the fuel pump out of the tank without damaging any fuel lines or wiring. The procedure can take anywhere from 3 hours to 8 hours, depending on the tools you have available to do the job.

A hammer, long thick flat tipped screw driver and a socket wrench and set are a minimum for this job, though specialty tools made for your van can make the job easier and faster.

Fuel gage is giving false reason and constantly moving back and forth

more than likely its the sending unit in the tank. if the fuel sending unit is bad, then it will give a false reading. make sure voltage is getting thru wire to tank first. if power change float in tank.

Just bought a V reg peugot partner van and was told it needs the bush replaced on the front drivers side.It is knocking as you drive.how much are they and how do you replace.any help is appreciated,thank...

the bush is about £10 but you will need a press to remove it and fit the new one, you can buy the complete bottom suspension arm for about £30 and it takes about 1hour to change with the correct tools
