You need an AMI interface cable, and of course the AMI interface itself. You can check the options list of you Audi at myaudi.de, sign up for an account and register your chassisnr//VIN nr. You will be able to see the factory installed standard equipment including extra options. If you're lucky this cable will do:" Part Number: 4F0051510P

Adaptor set comprising 1x adaptor for iPod/iPhone and 1x adaptor for USB for the connection to the Audi Music Interface. The ipod adaptor cable provides power and intuitive control of the device through the MMI and multi-function steering wheel."

It will plug in to the glovebox, there is a connector in the back (although it should originally be in the centerconsole in some cars). Will cost you about 50 GBP or US$64.

If there is no AMI interface installed, you're out of luck and you will need to do the AMI retrofit, you will need these parts:

(1) 4L0 055 307 A - Media unit wiring harness
(1) WSK 014 720 - Installation instructions
(1) 4L0 864 981 E 6PS - Media compartment
(1) 4L0 864 515 A 6PS - Cover
(1) 4L0 898 283 - Spring set
(2) WHT 001 250 A - Plastic pins
(2) N 906 986 06 - Torx screw (for media housing)
(1) 4L0 863 269 4PK - Protective piece
(2) N 909 187 01 - Torx screw (for protective piece)
(1) 4E0 057 785 XX - AMI control unit

This will set you back about US$ 800, and about 5 hours work.

check this link for instructions how to install this:

How to change instrument lights bulb for vw polo 1997 1.4

You will need to remove the clocks, here's how
1. remove the plastic surround held by two screws might be torx screws.
2. you will see 4 screws either side of the instrument pod, remove them
3. hold the top od the pod and pull towards you
4. unplug the multiplug connector on the back
5. wiggle the pod out through the middle of the steEring wheel (you might find it helps to slack off the adj steering lever)
6. you will now see the twist fit bulbs, replace them with t501 type lamps
7. then refitting is the reversal of above! or something along those lines.

1994 toyoata hilux 22r engine wont idle it stalls an when put in drive it stalls too engine shakes an sounds like its got a miss done sparkplugs leds an distributor an info to help wot may be plz ?

Try spark plug wires.. Pull off one spark plug wire at a time to see which cylinder is not firing. When you find one not firing change the wire to another plug.. both ends dist and plug end. If problems travels to new location the plug wire is at fault. if it does not travel there is something wrong with that cylinder. Could be something as simple as a fuel filter. R22 is one of the best engines ever.

1985 chevy idles high when defrost is on

Interesting. If it is a vac leak you should be able to plug the line from the intake to kill the leak.
My guess would be the idle speed control is raising the base idle to cover the load the ac compressor would put on the engine.
If the compressor is not working, the computer would not know.

I put my 97 F250 in 4wd and only my right rear tire spins. It don't matter if its in low or high. I was on packed snow, and just a slight grade. It is the shifter on the floor not the switch.

Its not your shifter. How to check have someone put it in 4x4 and watch the fornt drive shaft going to the axle if it is turning then its the vaccum pod on the front axle. Location of vaccum pod at the front of the axle (gear pumkin or what ever you want to call it) Should be a black plastic cover on top of it. Unbolt to get to the vaccum pod. I sprayed mine down with WD 40 and tapped on the shaft going into the vaccum pod until it worked free.

None of my 12 V outlets work

Try and plug something else into your Jetta. If that doesn't work than find the fuse panel and locate your lighter plug fuse, might be more than one, and it might be listed as something other then a cigarette lighter plug, might be listed as acc plug or something like that.

Loss of power, glow plug light flashes, cruise control intermittent.

Check for intake blockage (coking). May also be a bad turbo-charger actuator pod or something as easy as a Mass Airflow Meter.
