Gear oil what manual transmision oil goes in a 94 Honda civic cx hatchback 1.5L ? I have a 1999 subaru outback with manual transmision that will not go into gear???

gear oil filler is usually under the car on the transmission itself. the lowest screw or hole must be the drain plug/screw. you have to drain the old oil first, close the drain then pour in the new transmission oil.

read the owner's manual for fluid capacities.

80 or 120 weight gear oil.

tune up and air filter fuel filter. stuff of that nature to start

WELL IT SOUND LIKE YOUR TRANS IS GOING DOWN YOU NEED TO LOOK AT TRANS FLUID TO SEE IF IT IS CLEAR LOOKING OR IS IT LOOK LIKE METAL MAY BE IN IT DRAIN A LITTLE IN A PAN THE LOOK AT IT IN SOME LIGHT AND SEE IF IT LOOKS LIKE GOLD FLAKES OR SHING METEL IF SO TRANS HAS INTERNAL ISUSES

either low coolant or your IAC motor is acting up

if its manual transmission, when moving in any gear try stepping on the gas pedal, does the engine feels like its running away? if it does it maybe the clutch lining is expended expensive job.
If not you have to check the clutch fluid level or a leak in the master cylinder (at the foot pedal) assembly or in the slave(clutch lever actuator) the clutch actuator may not be traveling (pushing) sufficiently to give you an adequate clutch separation in other words you are trying to shift the gears with little or no clutch at all.
There is an overhaul kit that you can buy (cheap) for the master or the slave. easy to do really just remove, disassemble, replace the rubber seals and cups, reinstall, bleed the air out.

low trasmission pressure try changing the oil normally worst when cold check oil level cheers pierre
