If you are mechanically inclined, recommend you begin checking fuel pressure. If you have an external fuel filter, may want to also replace this component.
If your fuel pressure is good, then you may want to check air intake. Have you done a complete tune up to your vehicle ? Have you checked for any codes in your engine control module ?

Dear FixYa Team,
I have the injectors clean up and replace fuel filter, but still it did not work. I think it's the intake valve is sticky, when I remove the injectors there were carbon inside the intake. Whenever I pump the accelerator intake start to back fire, after a few pump on it, engine gets better until it warm up then I can run the car with out that problem. Is it neccesary to correct this problem? If not it cost me a lot of money. Anyway thanks for the the suggestion, my car runs better than before. Limyukok

SOURCE: My mercedes Benz C 220 stalls when I come to a stop or in park .

Is the AC on? The compressor can take alot of power and make it lope. Engine mounts can make it shake. coils, cap, rotor and wires for tune up at a minimum. EZL if you can find one cheap. MAF also can cause issue. If it is a 1991-1995 check the engine wiring harness as they get brittle and degrade.

By having it scanned and cleared with an OBD tool. This light comes on when it detects a problem. Could be a bad gas cap, or it could be a misfiring engine. The code you get from having it scanned will pinpoint the trouble area

Ignition system sounds probable on vhicle when everything gets warmed up. High pitched hum could be bad tire or worse bearing.

Testimonial: "Thank You for your response. The huming sound is present on idle from start-up,tires have just been replaced, would fuel pump be suspect?"

2005 Mercedes C230, 1.8 l Kompressor sport sedan. While driving at any speed all of sudden it's like it shifts to neutral, the engine revs but car does not accelerate.

Sounds like transmission oil level or pressure issues. Should throw error code if mechanical.
Have drive line pressure at auto tested.

I have a 2005 Mercedes Benz C180 Kompressor the yellow engine light on the dashboard came on - what can the cause for this be.

Don’t panic. Here are five of the most common reasons why your check engine light might have come on in your Mercedes-Benz.

Check Engine Light Mercedes-Benz

1. Gas Cap

While your gas cap might not seem like the most important piece of equipment in your Mercedes-Benz, it actually carries a pretty important role. It maintains pressure in the engine and prevents fuel vapors from leaking out. In some cases the check engine light will come on when the gas cap is not tightly replaced. We suggest that you unscrew the gas cap and re-tighten until it clicks, then allow the check engine light up to a day to reset. A loose, broken, or missing gas cap can cause your vehicle to start jerking and lower its efficiency. If the light remains on after a day, take in to the service garage.

2. Oxygen Sensor

The oxygen sensor in your Mercedes-Benz monitors the percentage of unburned oxygen in the exhaust. Over time the sensor can get covered in ash; therefore, reducing its effectiveness and leading to a decrease in gas mileage and an increase in emissions.

3. Catalytic Converter

Your catalytic converter reduces exhaust gases by converting carbon monoxide and other harmful materials into harmless ones. Most failures are down to faults with other items, but a damaged catalytic converter can mean your car will fail its emissions test.

4. Mass Airflow Sensor

The mass airflow sensor allows your car’s computer to know how much fuel is needed based on the amount of air coming into the engine. Faults can decrease efficiency, increase emissions, and cause your car to stall.

5. Spark Plugs and Wires

Spark plugs and wires are responsible for creating the original spark that initiates combustion within your Mercedes-Benz, but they can fail over time. If yours are faulty, misfires will occur.

Your Mercedes-Benz Check Engine Light is never something you should ignore. While these reasons might not sound too serious, they can develop into a much more complex issue over time. See your mechanic.

Mercedes slk 230 kompressor supercharger doesn't kick in when gas pedal depressed to gain speed.

only a turbo "kicks in".a supercharger is a compressor that uses the speed of the engine, so the faster the engine the more pressure....use the gearbox for rapid acceleration....

Wont start has gas engine will turn over

Replace the crank sensor (on the back of the engine, reads off of the flywheel). They have a nasty tendency to fail.

Most likely a gas cap or emissions issue, if you are sure the car is running fine. But you will have to have it scanned to know for sure.

I need to know how to replace the air filter in my C-230 (2006).

if you're talking about the engine air filter, there are about 6 T-20 screws at the top of the filter housing(which is the rectangular shaped box to the right of the mercedes benz engine cover(if your standing in front of the vehicle)just unscrew those and pull the cover up,there might the one screw holding the ecu connecter in place at the right rear of the housing, just unscew it and pull the connecters out(engine off of course)and pull the cover up,theres the engine air filter, just pop it out and pop it the new one,if you're asking about the cabin filter, the cover above the battery in the engine compartment, just unhook the 3 hook tabs and take the cover out, theres the cabin filter, pop it out and pop the new one in,hope this helps
