Hi, my check engine light has been on for a while but everywhere I take it the engine analyzer hook up thing doesnt work. They tell me it doesn't work and they can't read it, and that they get nothing. How do I get that fixed and is it expensive? What could be wrong with it? I've heard it has to do with a "hot wire" that they might of used for my stereo system? I have no idea! My husband doesn't know anything about vehicles either. Help!!!
U need to find out why the system won't self test with the scanner, u have been to a dealer or just some outside shop? Also check the cigar lighter/power point fuse, if it is blown out the system will not self test, the fuse is in the inside fuse box behind the panel to the left of the steering wheel.
