I have a base model 1500 2004 express cargo van. Im wanting to install a after market radio, I have the install kit including wire harness my issue is I cant locate a place in either fuse panel under the seat and under hood to connect to the ignition or ignition aux in order to to have radio to work when I turn on ignition. Thank Mike
What you need is to go on line " crutchfield " .com , they have wire diagrams for all vehicles, and aftermarket stereos , you need to know how to use your existing stereo wires to connect your aftermarket stereo wires to these wires ! crutchfield can show you how to decifer the color codes so you can connect these wires ! its very easy, just buy somthing from them , like the connectors you'll need to do this, get it. good luck
Thanks for your reply, I have the wiring info for harness, my problems was were to connect for ignition source .... I connect ted at the fuse panel under seat theres a white ignition and also a second orange wire either one would work I chosse the orange easiest to get to works great . Thanks Mike J

SOURCE: obd 2 connector does not work with any code scanner
HI there....Check to see if the code reader is a CAN OBD 2 code reader. If it is only OBD2 , that may be the problem. In 2003 Some vehicle manufacturers ( ford,Gm,Mazda and Saab) began using a new computer protocol called Controller Area Network (CAN) with the OBD2 and if your vehicle is CAN OBD 2 the simple OBD2 code reader will not work.Contact your local dealer to determine if you vehicle is CAN or not or find a code reader that is CAN OBD2 capable. Hope this helps you out

Ask dealer if it has a towing package on it. If it does, you usually just pop fuse in under hood for electric brakes, and harness to adapt into is usually near or at rear bumper. Even if it doesn't have brake wire, you should still be able to install adapter at rear, for lights etc. which is available from dealer or auto supply places, then you may have to run electric brakes separate.
SOURCE: 96 blazer power seat stopped working?
there is a orange wire on the seat connector. follow it under the floor mat just under where you put your feet down . that gets corroded and breaks loose. fixed mine twice in 10 years and still working
