How do I go about sitting the timimg on a 94 ford ranger lt pickup

On the 4 cyl engine, you line up the crank pulley with the timing mark and the cam gear with the pointer on the timing cover.
On V6 engines the cam and crank gear dots point at each other. 6 oclock for the cam and 12 oclock for the crank.

02 ford escape V6 what is positions of the camshaft sprocket timing marks and the crankshaft keyway

The camshaft and Crank mark (key way) should be pointing at each other (directly aligned with each other).
ie. The Camshaft mark will be point directly downward toward the crank and the crank mark (key way) will be pointing directly upward toward the camshaft.

2002 Ford Explorer ran out of gas put gas in and won't restart. replaced fuel pump and fuel filter still won't start. Cranks but won't start

Most Fords have a fuel reset button. When you ran out of gas you tripped the circuit. Most of the time the button will be on the passenger side by the kick panel. The exact location should be in your owners manual or your local library or auto parts store will have a copy of one for your specific vehicle.

When putting on a timeing chain on a ford f 150 5.4 tritron l where are the timeing marks how do u put the engine back in time

the yiming marks are on the cams and crank. the best way to do this if you never have done it before is to buy new chains and the will have links where you can math the timing marks on the sprockets to the chains. IMPORTANT!!!! make sure to rotate engine by hand from the crank to make sure the engine is in time!!! if you are off by one tooth you will bend a valve. this is a high interferance (the valves will hit pistons and break) motor.

Ford 2001 v6 escape Engine locked up, rotated engine manualy back a half turn try starter and locked up again . Rotated back a full turn and engine started but is running on 3 cylinders, Could this be a...

engine lock could be the result of unburned gasoline inside chamber can't compress liquid.remove all sparkplugs try to crank the engine severaltimes.disc
onnect hitension wires so no high voltage is present.you might as well check the compression on each cyl.form here you can as well conclude if it is a timing problem

2002 Ford Escape V6 XLT, problem w/ initial start in cold weather

Does the engine crank but just not start? Or... are you cycling the ignition switch without trying to crank the engine? Based on the information you have given, I would first guess that the fuel pump may be going out. I say this because when you first turn the key on the pump primes the engine with pressurized fuel. If the pump is getting old, it may take a few power cycles to get it going. You can test this theory by having somebody listen near the rear of the car while you turn the key on for the first time. The fuel pump make a faint, yet distinctive high pitch noise that can be heard when you turn the key on. Try that first. Next thing you would try is checking the relays for proper function... starting with the fuel pump relay. Good luck.
