The car starts jerking when you initially push the accelerator. You can push the accelerator to the floor and the car won't go over 30mph and it just jerks. If you back off the accelerator and barely press it, you can get the car to accelerate slowly but it will go no faster than 60 mph. I had the mass flow switch replaced but it did not fix the problem. What else could this be?

the engine light IS on. I will definately check out the fluid in the trans. How much on average does a trans flush cost? Thank you very much for your help. I am currently riding my bike as much as possible till I find a solution, plus gas prices haha.

My car did the same thing and I went and had it checked out. They had to replace my mass air flow censor. Cost me a little over $200. The only thing is after I had it fixed, my check engine light kept coming on. They said that my fuel line was running rich because I had ran my car so long with that problem. May want to get that checked out!

Have a mechanic check that. If you try yourself, might competely mess up the entire timing.

I just had the same problem with my '02 altima SE.
Took it to Buckeye Nissan in Hilliard OH. and they had to replace the two crank sensors which.
The sensors themselves were about $44.00 a piece, but w/labor about $300.00 was the total. Hope this helps.....Now if I can just get the heater working!
