SOURCE: 1990 chevy 350 distributor wiring diagram and firing order

The firing order is 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2.
The distributor rotates in a clockwise direction. The engine must be on the compression stroke on the #1 cylinder. Line up the timing marks. Remove the cap and the rotor should be pointing to approximately the 5 o'clock position.

Good Luck

Diagram for 1993 chev 350 thruttle body for spark plugs

Firing order is clock wise rotation. You can see firing order in picture. You can see how cylinders are numbered. I did show number one terminal on distributor cap, according to my database. I don't like to do that because I've seen many pictures that were wrong. If you put number one piston on tdc of compression stroke, which ever spark plug tower the rotor is leading into is number one, then follow firing order around cap in direction of rotation. Just my opinion.
I looked at 93 chevy pickup, 350 engine.

I have a 1993 gmc 1500 350 tbi engine.I need to no if the rotor on the disturber points to the no.1 cylinder or the no.1 on the disturber cap when installing the disturber.please help

Your supposed to make a mark all that before you pull the distributor. Did you mark the relationship between distributor body and engine? Then you note where the rotor is pointing, make a scratch mark. When you reinstall the distributor, line up all the marks.

If engine was turned with distributor out, You need to put the #1 piston on tdc of compression stroke. Stab the distributor, which ever spark plug tower the rotor is pointing at/turning into, becomes number 1. Then you follow the firing order around the cap in clockwise direction.

Firing order is 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2. This is stamped usually on the front of the intake manifold if you have a TBI set up - if you have a CSFI or MFI set up, it may be on the side
