have exactly the same problem. I took out fuses that run the lights but had to leave lock fuses in becauser they run other stuff besides just the door locks. It's an irritating problem, but I'm willing to live with it.

Hey open the boot on the drivers door. or take out the 5 screws and remove the door pannel. it takes about 5 min. (the top part of the panel is hinged to the window. You will have to push straight up with the panel to remove ) so with a flat tip screw driver ( after 5 screws out) 1.corner by the dash 2. inside the door handle opening and 3 big #3 are inside the arm rest. Then pry out the buttons. They are resusable. so leave them in the panel. There is two connectors. bottom big one and and a smaller top one. They are pretty stiff take the flat tip screw driver and push in the center of the clasp pry apart. DO NOT if you can help it pull on the wires,
it will take few momentents if you have not done it before. Frustrating. Ok move to the door handle and lock rod. one is top mounted and bottom mounted. there is plastic clips holding the rods into their spots they are collars. use the flat tip to pry them away. after that check the wires on the bottom and top plug ins. check the orange/violet stripe) and thats for the master switch for door lock relay, you have to examine the wires inside the loom. The stuff they use is tar tape. use a utility knife **** along the length. but check in the boot too.( try not to cut the boot. make sure its not touching the black wire which is ground and or the frame of the jeep anyplace. get a roll of black cheap electrical tape. and wrap any wires that you find.

Interior lights flash and power locks open and close. The light fuse was pulled and stopped the lights from flashing but the locks still fluctuate when driving. There is a relay near the fuse block that is...

I don't about the door locks but my 01 Grand Cherokee had the interior light problem also. I would just be driving around normally and they would come on or flash without touching anything. Mine was the turn signal toggle, something was loose in it and when my lights came on i could just tap the toggle either up or down and the lights would go back off. Try putting the fuse back in and try the lite tapping thing when it the lights flicker on. It really simple to replace if thats the problem and could some how be connected to you locks since they are both electrical. If you need to replace the toggle just take off the collar around your steering column and then you should see where the toggle connects to the column. there should be a wire connector and a few screws. i found a replacement toggle at a junk yard for only about $50. Hope this helps and good luck.

1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo Electrical issues.

the button that pushed in when you close the door could be bad its literally like a $10 part and plugs in and is only held in with one screw. My interior lights used to flash on and off and i replaced that and now good as new, but you would need to figure out which door is doing it by pushing the button in manually

Jeep alarm will not turn off

The ignition security on/off is located at the trunk lock. unlock and lock rear gate and the alarm will turn off. My jeep sat in my drive for a month before a jeep tech told me this. It still triggers the security sometimes when I unlock the passenger door with the key and I go straight to the rear gate lock and it shuts off instantly.
