ENGINE HESITATES WHILE ACCELERATION

LOSS OF ACCELERATION

It can be fuel pressure issue or it's the problem with accelerator pedal or its clogged filters causing there.

There are many other possibilities. I suggest you to go through the list of help links mentioned below, these will help you to confirm where the actual fault lies: -------

SOURCE: 1988 iroc-z 350 tpi - runs poorly when hot (190-200degrees)

Does it run poor at full throttle or between quarter and half throttle? Does it hessitate? If it does the EGR valve may be worn out. I had an 87 transam with TPI and was having problems with it stumbling and hesitating when it was warmed up. If the car starts hard and you have these problems then the issue may be low fuel pressure. Hook a guage up to the fuel rail and make sure you are getting pressure. If you are only getting a few pounds of pressure it may be the fuel pump or fuel pressure regulator. Good luck and if you thought this information was helpful please rate it when you get a chance.

SOURCE: having problems with my 96 chevy tahoe mass air flow

The MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor is a very common problem with these along with the pickups. This isn't what you would call an inexpensive part. Definitely do some shopping before you buy one.

That eliminates the crankshaft and camshaft position sensors. Have you checked the fuel injector itself for an open winding or stuck valve plunger? There should not be a steady 12 volts to the injector--if good injector, it would be spraying fuel steadily into the throttle body. But at least the engine should try to run if poorly. Take the injector out, dry it off with air, and intermittently apply 12 volts to one terminal while grounding the other. You should hear a click from inside every time you touch 12 volts. If not, replace it. If it does, it may be plugged with debris. Try blowing through it in reverse with compressed air.

Before we do anything else lets do a fuel pressure check to make sure the pump is a-ok as well as the fuel pressure regulator. Your gonna need shop manual for this as well as a fuel pressure tester. If all checks out then move to the Turbo code.
Turbo code looks like the waste gate is stuck open and your not building the boost. Do a visual inspection look for any signs of overheating and bearing wear. Check or change oil as needed.
With regards to the Mass air flow I believe you have to replace it. Keep in mind this thing might be the root of you whole problem.
I strongly suggest you use the shop manual for the codes you got. it will make this repair a snap.

Last week my check engine light came on Auto zone said it was mass air flow sensor the next day my car would not stay running like it was running out of gas

So you replaced the sensor and now the light is back on, right? Have you checked the code again to make sure it's still the MAF sensor code? If so, you've got a connector or wiring harness issue.

It sounds like you have an air flow problem. Go backwards from the throttle body to air cleaner. possible IAC valve stuck closed or open, possible Mas Air Flow sensor. The lack of air is causing the engine to die Good Luck Friend.

1994 chevy suburban help

It could be low fuel pressure from a weak pump. A fuel pressure test would find out. When the engine is cold, the computer keeps the injectors open longer-a cold engine needs more gas to run than a warm one. When at normal operating temperature, the computer matches the gas to the incoming air. If you have low fuel pressure against the injectors, that is when you would notice the hesitation. A possibility anyway.
If fuel pressure is good, check for trouble codes. A sensor may be sending the wrong information. Could be the mass air flow sensor-the one that tells the computer how much air is coming in so it can match the right amount of gas for it-through the injector on-time. There it is, your injector pulse width is too narrow. Causes lean running, stumbling, hesitation. Another possibility. Check for codes first.
If not air or gas related (is your air filter clean? And the gas filter been changed in the last 2 or 3 years?), and no codes, and fuel pressure is good, you may have to keep looking for an electrical fault. If it runs good when cold, doesn't seem likely to be a mechanical fault.

Van stalls intantly- misses bad if I give it gas.. Changed intake gaskets, both o2 sensers, cleaned MAF senser, and changed fuel filter.. Codes read bank 1&2 lean.. Only thing I can think of next is...

It could be a weak pump. To check, have your fuel pressure checked to see if it is correct for your vehicle. On mpfi, pressure should be around 50 psi-check the requirement for your particular vehicle. Then look to the injectors.
