The first thing we need to know is which system is your Eclipse equipped with? Are we talking about a factory system or an aftermarket system? If it is factory, is it an "Infinity" system? (If it is, it will say "Infinity" on the radio face.) This makes a HUGE difference because the Infinity system has a separate amplifier.
Then, there are several fuses that provide power to your stereo system. Did you check ALL of them? Also, did you check to see if the fuse actually has power? (with a test light or multimeter) or did you simply "look" at it to see if it was blown?
THE DOOR SPEAKERS ARE MADE TO SOUND LOW FREQUENCY THROUGH THE AMP,(60HZ-500HZ). THIS IS NORMAL. THE REST OF THE SOUND WAVES (500HZ -8000HZ) COME FROM YOUR 2 TOP SPEAKERS ON DASH NEAR WINDSHIELD, 2" TWEETERS.
Sounds like your Gr Caravan has the premium sound package. You likely haven't hurt anything - but you may need to modify the wiring a bit. The speakers have a tweeter speaker in the center of the main speaker and the wiring goes through that. However, it only worked with the premium package. Go in to the speakers and move the wiring connections from the tweeter to the main speaker. Your other option is to replace the speakers.
well your deck might be bad, you could have a lose connection in your wiring to your speakers, you might not have a connection to your speakers, or your speakers could be bad.
no you dont have to take the dash out, all you have to do is take the defrost part of the dash off and it just lifts up and it uses plastic clips that if you are carefull it wont break, this will allow you to access the speakers with a small screw driver, if you have the ( Infinity sound system ) in your jeep make sure you replace the speakers with the infinity speakers or your sound system will not sound good, youcan purchase these speaker at your local jeep dealership how ever they are expensive I suggest looking in a salvage yard for some, to keep from blowing them turn your volume down.
