2003 Cadillac CTS V6 Intake Manifold Gasket

Its complicated. You need to remove the intake manifold on the top of the engine to get to the spark plugs on the V6.

If you want an owners manual, I suggest you go to one of the Cadillac forums and see if anyone has an owners manual they might scan and email to you or you might offer to buy one if some owner has one available. If you offer to buy one I suggest you will get a better response.

Too big a job for an answer here. Best to buy a service manual if you want to try to do the job yourself

why ask, because the op guide said to check it every 50k
or rumor, or? some cars btw have NONE. some engines.
so tell me why you want to find it? this tells me lots.

there are many engines which size?
ill pick one at radom to show that anyone can do this.

on line now... 2 engines used 1 car CTS ,usa.
i see page with 10 engine views.
ok the engine matrix of the CAD
shows 7 engines of which only 3 have EGR.
the 2.4L shows none. L4,L5, and L6
the V6/and V8s section show EGR.

so what do you have. ?

i also looked in the CTS cad, DCT table.
not one EGR fail in the lot.

I actually just finished this task this morning. If you have the 3.6 liter V6, you'll need to remove the intake manifold bolts to get to all of the spark plugs. You don't have to disconnect all of the hoses going into/out of the intake, just remove the bolts and disconnect the small airbox in the front of the car. There are 6 bolts in total. Get something you can use to prop up the entire intake assembly about 1.5 to 2 inches (you only need to do this on one side at a time). Be wary if you have a paper gasket under the intake though, that will need to be replaced. Buy it ahead of time just in case. I unfortunately learned that one the hard way :(

The 2003 Cadillac CTS 3.2 V6 uses a timing belt. GM recommends that you change your timing belt every 60,000 miles.

its the valve cover gasket for sure. change it and you will be down the road again.

that is a 4 hour job it is located under the intake manifold

I believe there is a recall for that problem, covered 100%
