Can't get the rear brakes lights to disengage in my 1997 Nissan Pathfinder, please help [email protected]
Is the ABS light illluminated? A fuse can cause this (I think there are 2 or maybe 3 that feed this ABS total - although only one is marked as ABS sometimes on the back of the fuse box cover - it may be fed from a fuse link near the battery as well - but an electrical schematic will show what power inputs there are). I would check both under the hood fuse distribution box and in the vehicle interior fuse box as well (check all fuses - with ignition in "on" position.) Sometimes battery (or fuse - or even conector at control unit) can be removed for say 15 seconds or so, and it will "reset" the ABS computer. If not, and you can deal with the light being on, the brakes will work just fine otherwise, just no anti-lock, but no safety issue, just work like reguular brakes. ABS parts are EXPENSIVE and difficult for most techs to diagnose. Some have DTC's (Trouble codes) like engine computers; that can be pulled during a self-diagnostics process, but it takes alot of information searching, etc. to find the procedure and code designations. Sorry I couldn't help more... DD

i have a 1995 nissan maxima my power windows dont work and power door looks....i check the fuses they look good is there a bad relay if so,where can i look....
possibly do you have the owners manual ? i can't get a good picture , but the ABS fuse is is #13 , 10 amp fuse , possibly the fuse panel is numbered hopefully . it is in the panel in the car and not under the hood . if you had a test light it wouldn't hurt to check them all .
