How to get at brake light swicth 94 volvo

there is a brake light switch behind the brake pedal that may require replacing. There is always a chance you lost the brakes bulbs one at a time as well so check the bulbls themselves

If the light is on there is a problem and you need the system scanned for a fault code.

Sounds like your turn signal switch is bad!! Multi-functioning switch it controls your head lights two? Unless you have a push button switch!

the brake light swicth is at the top of brake pedal remove wires from swicth and brigde together if lights work replace swicth

Get on the floor on the driver side with a flashlight. Behind the brake pedal is a bracket and the brake swicth. If the rubber stopper is gone, worn down or broken, replace it or fill the gap with epoxy glue.

Once repaired/replaced check that when you press the brake, the lights come on and when you release it the lights go off. You ll need a helper for this.

Check the upper brake pedal bracket for play. If it moves too much, take it apart, clean it up and grease it to make sure it doesnt cause the brake swicth to stay pressed.

you need to replace the multifuction swicth (turn singnal swicth) that controll all of that stuff i have replaced many of them for that problem hope that this helps you
