05 cavalier , font grinding noise still there after replacing both wheel bearings. when driving i'll swerve back n forth and sound changes tone but still there on both sides

First check the brakes on that side. You may be hearing the warning rivets on the brake lining. If it's good, You need to remove the axle and go to the machine shop and have a new bearing pressed on. The machine shop should only charge you about $20.00 to do this.

the hub bearing is bad.the reason it stops when you turn the wheel to the one side is because its taking presure off the bearing

The Hub Bearing is shot jack up that side and grab the top and bottom of the tire if you can move it in and out get it replaced.

hi, you could be right but their is also something else it could be if the brake disk and pads are low then this could also be causing the noise check for any grroves in the brake disk if their are grooves then this needs replacing along with the pads.

If your pads are ok then check their is no rust along the outer edge of the disk as this can cause the noise also if their is a build up of rust running along the outer edge of disk then gently tap this off with small hammer then with the wheel jacked up off the floor spin it with your hand and listen for the noise.
Also try wiggling the wheel as if you was trying to turn it by hand and check for any play also do this from top to bottom as well any play would indicate bearing failure.
