Hey Bob,

I just moved a mini van on a trailer and had no problems, I put the Emergency brake on with vehicle in park. Then I used two heavy duty rachet straps in the front pulling toward the front and two more in the back pulling toward the rear (1 on driver side and 1 on passenger side both front and back) I had wooden block under the tires as well to keep it from moving in case something went wrong.

Sorry, forgot to mention that i tied the rachet straps aroung the fron and rear axels.

Vehicle towing capacity chart

A) Depends on the hitch you have and what it is rated for. Most car hitches (non truck or SUV) have a tounge weight rating of 500 LBS. This is the weight that is put on the actual connection of car and trailer. B) To not kill your transmission, do not exceed a total trailer weight of more than 1/2 the vehicles curb weight. (Dry weight of car full of fuel) Car transmissions and frames were not originally designed for towing, and exceeding 1500 LBS total trailer weight is considered dangerous (can get trailer weave and sway easily) and will cause excessive strain on drive train components. U-Haul has an online guide that will basically tell what type of trailer you can haul and its maximum allowed weight.

Can't find location for trailer elect hook-up

there is no factory connector you must tap into the existing wiring for brake, turn signals, tail and running lights, they make special adapters to "piggy back" into these wiries, U-Haul trailer rental can do (install and sell) this kit for u very cheap.

Turn signals blink on the wrong side

Your signals don't go through any computer (that is next year, HA,HA), either a connector is hooked up wrong (crossed) to the lights or the wires were worked on and not put back together correctly.

Trailer tail lights

I have this same problem with my truck. The U haul guys and I tried and tested every scenario, leaving out hard wiring behind the plug (where the adapter goes). I haven't tried it as I don't ever pull anything, however it can't to too hard to do.
