Leaking power steering fluid
OK... You see it under the car, right? Go in the engine and under it to wipe splashed power steering fluid off the surfaces. Next, put white paper towels under the areas of the engine below where the power stearing pump and hoses are. Run the vehicle at idle and turn the stearing wheel left and right while someone looks under the engine and back to the hoses and stearing pump on top. Yo might be lucky and see spirting from a hose or fitting! If not there should be dripping onto the paper eventually. Turn off the engine and look for streams running down those hoses. Follow the streams upstream to the leak or leaks. If they are from cracked hose, chamge both hoses. If they are from a seal in the power steering pump, replace or rebuild the pump.

if the fuse is fine then get a voltmeter and test the voltage reading to the wiper's electric motor. If you get a reading then check the motor itself as it may be faulty.

i think the cheapest way to fix your problem is by using plastic epoxy resin its very easy to use, just make sure that the resin you are buying is not affected by power steering fluid and also make sure that you follow the drying time,if it does not work replacing the plastic is not a bad choice.

A power steering system has a rack, fluid tank with hose to pump, pump, high pressure in hose and a low pressure return hose to tank. I f you say theres no leak at the rack that only leaves those other conponents. I would check the pump its self and the high pressure hose where it leaves the pump. It may also be leaking at the tank, where the hose leaves to the pump because it is only fastend down with clips and they can come loose or the hose can split. hope this helps
SOURCE: renault megane cabriolet roof broken?????
just had the same problem with mine, here's what the problem was, the hydrolic fluid had gone bellow the min level indicator because of a slight leak to the ram, the reservoir is located in the back N/S boot. refill the the reservoir (Halfords do the hydrolic fluid for them) then you need to re-set the roof mecanism, after opening and closeing the back part of the car where the roof goes manually, and trying the switch a few times to reset the locking device with the micro switches, I managed to do it without spending too much cash. hope this helps anyone with roof trouble. -
