I have a 2003 neon sxt and on a cold afternoon i tried to start my car and it wouldnt start and kept trying to start it and in the process my 6 disc cd player started blinking lights 3 at a time and now the cd player wont play nor will it eject any of the 6 cds i have inside it, it keeps saying error no disc
It started and stopped the cd player in the middle of all that kyoss now it doesn't know that disc are in there.. in plug the power source and plug it back in that should kick them out..

is it grinding when you try? try to turn car off hold in clutch put into reverse and then start car if it pops right out you need to get it to a transmission shop. i recently replaced a transmission in an SXT that had no reverse, all it would do it grind and pop back out
is this mechanic a mechanic or a unit changer who works for a main dealer and doesnt know anything about cars,a good mechanic should be able to fix this problem with his eyes shut and one hand tied behind his back---- find one who can and give this strutting peacock in overhauls the boot
You may need to replace the CD player but see if theres a small reset button on the face of the deck (could be as small as a pen tip) press it and see if it helps
same thing happened to me, with a 2003 neon sxt..... but tranny went into error and wouldn't shift out of first til i reset the engine error, tranny and gages were fine (til it got cold). i had to warm the car up, reset the error to go anywhere. i was told it was the drivetrain computer. but i'm still checking other things.
Do check the motor mounts! Start the car, have a helper shift from reverse to drive! Is there a lotta engine movement?? Replace the faulty mounts. My quess it is almost flipping over! The output speed sensor likely on the back middle of the trans. There are only 2 connectors, the other is backup lights. Best I can do at this time! Frankster016
yank out that stock pos and take it apart to get your cd's then go to wal mart best buy car toys ect and get a BETTER one for around 50$ easy as heck to replace too
