Keyless Entry I am trying to figure out if my 1996 jeep grand cherokee is equipped with keyless entry. When i bought all I was given was the key and thats it. How can I find out if I do or not

Opening the drivers door with the key is supposed to shut down the factory security but the drivers key cylinder usually goes bad. You will have to unlock the rear tail gate lock cylinder with the key and that will shut down the factory security, before opening the drivers door.Your other option is to have an aftermarket keyless entry system installed, which will open the doors remotely while shut down the factory security at the same time.
