Jaguar 1998 XK8: Help! Engine cranks normally, will not start. Dashboard lights lite up when pressing brake pedal. No response from key fob remote on door locks, or boot. Windows operate, slowly. Unable to open boot with cabin release or key. Gas filler lid will not release either. Car left overnight in valet parking garage with driver side window down all the way, and the key in the cabin, could this have triggered a security mode disabling all normal function? Help! checking out of hotel 1/2/12; would like to drive it home in it!

I have seen this before, each time i have seen it i have to reprogram the valet key. This needs to be dont at the dealership, make sure you bring the master key otherwise they cant program the valet key.
