I think you burned the computer, the key is not supposed to be in the ignition when jumpstarting
For sure you will need new starter (actually starter relay) (that is why there is no engine turn-over). I am not sure about ignition coil and alternator, well it depends. You can get them at Autozone.com
And in a worsest scenario electronic control module (ECM/ECU).
You can buy used here
http://www.sunfor.com/ecm_ecu.html
Below there is the electrical starting system scheme for your car.
You can get it on Autozone.com (just add new vehicle Masda 1998 Millienia and go to repair guide engine electrical starting system)
Hope that helps
Good Luck
P.S. Please kindly let me know if you need more info. I am here to help.
P.P.S. I would check with insurance they might cover the case
No you more than likely fried the starter. When you have a reverse connection usually one or two things get fried. Sometimes three. The battery - the starter - the alternator. The electrical components elsewhere are protected bt fuses. These components are not unfortunately. But if you have no clock radio etc you might of burned up one of the LARGER fuses under the hood. These have to be tested professionally. Hope this helps.
If you are lucky you just burned out a fuse or two located in the fuse panel in the engine compartment near the battery.
