1998 Saturn SC1 transmission

Our Saturn SC1 has a huge leak somewhere. When the car idles, it doesn't seem to leak, but , when the car is driven it loses all of the transmission fluid, and stop leak that we put in it. I loses it all in 35 miles or less. We don't know what the problem is. Could you help us?Thanks

When you first crank my Saturn SL1 it idles at 3000 rpm then drops down to 2000 rpm.I've changed the idle sensor & the throdle sensor but it does the same thing. [email protected]

that is because the reason the vehicle is idling so high is because there is a vaccum leak somewhere and it is sucking in cold air

Car is putting at an idle when gas is pressed runs smoothly

sounds like either you have 2 of the wires crossed.........one is loose....probably #1 or your #1 plug needs regapped or is not tight and losing seal....all will cause a misfire and set the check engine light

first get it scanned for codes 2nd look at the air filter, and the mass air flow unit sitting on top for leaves or dirt , then check the air intake bellows that runs to the intake check it for cracks? also look and listen for vacum leaks around the engine possible cracked hose causing ecm to get false signals from airflow meter? good luck

95 saturn sc1 all of a sudden had engine light on and the idle just went way low, also effects how tranny shifts, but will barely stay running in gear with brake on. Sometimes it starts idling fine and...

You either have a bad engine coolant temp sensor & connector.Located under upper radiator hose at cylinder head Yellow & black wire.Original sensor is ceramic & replacement will be brass from saturn. Also you may check for vacuum leaks at PCV hose & valve.Hope this helps

Low idle in 1998 saturn sc1

I had this problem. Its a sensor. Unfortunately I don't remember the name of the sensor. When it gets a tiny litle crack in it, this is what happens. If you take it in to autozone, they will do a free sensor scan for you. You can replace it yourself. Its really no big deal. If you get the scan done you can contact me and I will give you further info.
