More than likely the turning signal module is shorting out and needs to be replaced or the harness connecting to it is shorting out hence the drain.. To stop the drain remove the indicator fuse and relay from the fuse box under the hood. This will also prevent an electrical fire and get this looked at asap. from a trained professional... I would also recommend you remove the negative battery terminal.

Testimonial: "im not sure what is the turning signal modual. is it the turning signal flasher? or is there is there abox that has a printed circuit in it? the fuse that stops the current draw fron the battery , is under the hood with BTN on it. im not sure what that stands for! the best source of information has been FIX-YA ."

SOURCE: 1991 Ford E150 turn signals do not work, emergancy flashers flash constantlly unless the flasher relay is unplugged from fuse block

Hi,

If I understand you right based on your post/description, the signal lights would still turn on even if any or both of the flasher relays are removed. Should this be the case, then the signal lights are not getting the power from the flasher relays but from the brake light circuit.

Perhaps your concern is not with any of the flasher, but simply missing or loose ground more particularly with the rear lights. Perhaps you could try determining which of the wires for the brake lights and signal lights (as they come out of the light assembly) would be ground . A test and even possibly a temporary workaround is to hard wire a second ground connection from the determined ground wire of the lights and attach it to any conveniently located bolt or screw to the body. it may be to your advantage to do this on all the rear lights assembly.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

SOURCE: 1995 F150 the turn signals do not work, but

Look in the fuse panel and the turn signal flasher is the big round most likely yellow or silver in the corner of fuse panel. The emergency flasher is in the back side of fuse panel right directly behind the turn signal flasher.
Remove the emergency flasher and install it in place of the turn signal flasher and see if this corrects the problem and if so get a new flasher. If this does not correct it problem will most likely be the multi-function switch.

SOURCE: no turn signals but flashers work

You may have two relays one for hazards and one for turn indicators.

SOURCE: Turn signals not working. All bulbs are good,no

The emergency flasher and the turn signal flasher are two separate items. You could have a defective T/S flasher.

What cause battry to die over night?

If test light is a 12 volt light tester AND ILLUMINATES BRIGHT it shows that a component is actively trying to complete a circuit and yes drawing power causing a drain on your battery, now if test light illuminates low, possibility could just be ecm memory or antitheft system active . either way this test should only be done with a 12 volt test light as if you use a 5 volt (computer friendly) tester , false light will have you chasing a ghost. trust me. that trick helps by checking for parasitic draws a 12 volt tester does not illuminate when keep alive memory voltages are present . those voltages are not enough to drain over night. good luck

Left and side signal light is not working plese give fuse circuit detail and signal light wiring

First you should check the front and back bulbs to make sure they're good and original stock (not LED Replacements, which draw less power.) Analog flashers need full power running through them to keep them alternating.

My turn signals won't come on at all?

check the fuse if good then turn on the hazard lights if they work then you probably need a turn signal flasher which is a separate flasher unit then the hazard one.it usually looks like the hazard one so with the hazards on and locate it then you will know what the signal flasher looks like and you will also know not to change the wrong flasher unit.the signal flasher is often located at or near the under dash fuse panel or somewhere in the dash you don`t say what type of car your talking about.

Turn signal quits

check to see if the flasher is weak, a quick way to test it is to swap it with the flasher for the 4 ways ( hazard lites ) and try it.

2004 wrangler blinker problem

What other problem did you have before the signals quit? Something that stopped all functions from the signals has to be either a feed or ground IF the flasher is good. Signals feed. Hot wire from the flasher 1 and it should blink underload, but not with a test light or DVM. In other words using a test light the flasher wire should be powered steady. All the rest of the switch is switchable. You should also get a hot wire when the brake pedal is pushed. Check for power at the brake switch, key off.
