Hello I have a 2010 Chevy Malibu 2.4 liter and today my wipers quit working but I can hear the wiper motor running. I checked the 2 nuts holding the wiper arm assembly on and they are tight so I started to remove the plastic peace that covers all of it and heard something fall out. Looked for it for 15 minutes and no luck. So I put everything back together and decided to fix it later. I'm so irritated because this car is only a couple years old. What should I do?

there are no screws they are retainers that pop off / the trick is to be careful pulling off the vent cowl panels because the clips can be hard to get look what side you need to take off and their may be ends which should come off first.

yes the wipers pull off and you need to get the linkage from the dealer the parts just snap on

You will need a wiper arm puller to get these off or go back to where you had the work done and have them fix it seen as how they messed it up in the first place.

I have used a small puller to get these off so i didnt damage the lift gate

Once you get the nut off of the shaft use a pair of plyers or channel locks and wiggle the base back and forth it iwll come off and then you can replace the wiper assembly without taking anything else off.
